Pierrefonds STINKS!

Thursday, May 11, 2006

I've been sitting in our office for a few hours now, and oh joy! it stinks! Every so often my nostrils have been tickled by the "Eau de Landfill" aroma... I barely remember the days when one could smell the fresh air of spring, of fresh cut grass (a neighbour did it earlier!), now I get hits of fresh air promptly followed by Pierrefonds' stink... It's not to the point where I would close the window, but still, enough for me to notice and get pissed off about it!

It's 1 o'clock in the afternoon and it stinks! Ridiculous, completely ridiculous!

It's a good thing that the wind turns, the vile odor will be blown away for a while... One can hope...

  • Sometimes I drive at Pierrefonds and St-Charles blvds and the stinky odors make me panic about something burning under the hood of my car.
Are you aware that in Pierrefonds there's a company whose product is a machine to measure the intensity of odors? It isn't just a cheap handheld sniffer but a quite complex machine. (actually the best in the world) Odors are complex. I'm sure you can testify from all the contradictory reports from everyone about the career. The biggest problem with the odors from the career are that they are a type of odor that never causes a fatigue of the sensory nerve. So you never get used to it. It is the same componenet that is added to natural gas to make leaks detectable from our nose.

I gave them the coordinates of your blog, so they might contact you if they think that they can help.

  • Unfortunately your neighbor will reap what you wish to be rid of and that is no solution.

Has anyone tried legal proceedings in Small Claims Court for damages? Begin there, it's easy to win - no lawyers allowed, then you have precedence making further (larger claims) easier to prove. Nothing like precedence, all law application in this country is based on it.
